We shall pick you from your Delhi Hotel or any other designated place in Delhi. Agra is located about 204 kms & 4 hrs drive from Delhi & thus an 8 a.m. morning start is recommended.

On arrival in Agra, we shall check you in at your pre-booked Agra hotel.

Afternoon you shall start your discovery of the historic city of Agra with a visit to magnificent Taj Mahal, a pristine white marble mausoleum built by Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his wife – Mumtaz Mahal. One of the Seven Wonders of the World & a UNESCO World Heritage site, it took 20,000 workers from neighboring Islamic countries & 22 years of ceaseless working to create this exquisite white marble monument. Experience a splendid sunset viewing of the Taj Mahal with the shades of the Sun playing with white marble of Taj Mahal.

This is followed by a visit to the marble factory to witness the inlay work of precious and semi-precious stones into marble. Agra is famous for Models in marble of the Taj, vases, boxes, lamps, plates, bowls and pitchers in delicately molded shapes & fine carvings. Intricate friezes and trellis or jali work done in an eye- catching range of patterns are the other highlights of the Taj City of Agra.

The first day of your overnight trip to Agra ends here and you will be return back to your Agra hotel for the overnight stay.

Get up early. An early morning sunrise visit to Taj Mahal is possibly the best time time catch the best view of this while marble monument. Taj Mahal looks wonderful at the sunrise and sunset time.  The changing hues of Taj Mahal shall enchant your eye for sure. After exploring Taj Mahal return back to Hotel for Breakfast.

Morning you shall visit the impressive red sandstone Agra Fort built in 1565 AD by Emperor Akbar – the most illustrious ruler of the Mughal dynasty.  It was subsequently embellished with beautiful palaces, mosque and gardens by his successors. Replete with priceless examples of craftsmanship from the Mughal era, these include the exquisite Moti Masjid or Pearl Mosque, the Diwan-i-Khas, the Diwan-i-Am, Jahangir Mahal and Shish Mahal. From the little octagonal tower in the Agra Fort one can get the most amazing view of the Taj Mahal which lies across the river Yamuna. It was here that Aurangzeb, the third son of Shah Jahan, kept his father under house arrest where the Emperor spent the last years of his life gazing at the tomb of his beloved.

Later drive to Fatehpur Sikri, approximately a little over an hour’s drive. Constructed by Emporer Akbar between 1570 -1585 A.D., this red sandstone city houses many impressive architectural monuments. Most remarkable among these are the towering Buland Darwaza, the exquisite marble tomb of Salim Chishti (the Muslim mystic who gave his blessings to Emperor Akbar for a son), Panch Mahal, Jodha Bai’s Palace, Birbal Bhavan and the unique checkered Pachisi Court.

Here you will have time free for your Lunch in a Restaurant.

Now is the time to finish your overnight Agra tour & drive back to Delhi through the picturesque countryside.

On arrival in Delhi, you shall be transferred to your hotel or any othe rpredesignated place for for a direct flight / train connection for onward journey ahead.
