Delhi is a mesmerizing city with a holding the magic of old & charm of new. Today you will start your discoveries in Delhi by visiting Old Delhi first. Even when Bombay and Madras were mere trading posts and Kolkata a village of mud huts, Delhi had been the seat of an empire for almost 500 years. Through the centuries, eight cities have been built on this site, by Hindu, Mughal and British rulers, each adding to their own flavor.

Today the former "Imperial City" continues as the center of government for the world's largest democracy, while you will drive past the buildings of India's Parliament and President House,. Nearby you will visit the India Gate, where a beautifully landscaped park surrounds a memorial to Indian soldiers who served Great Britain in World War I and Britain's 19th-century war in Afghanistan. Also visit Qutab Minar, a spectacular example of Indo-Islamic architecture topped by a 234-foot-high tower. Its construction begun in the 12th century, & is now a UNESCO World Heritage site and also well known as the symbol of New Delhi.
